Browsing without enrolling

You can read about every course without an account. Doing so creates an ordinary web server record: IP address, browser, which page and when.

There is no analytics platform on this site, no advertising pixel and no cross-site tracking. Nothing here is profiling you for looking at a syllabus. Loading a page does request typefaces from Google Fonts, which reveals your IP address to Google, as it would on any site using that service.

What enrolling creates

The work you submitted, and the feedback on it

Your results, held in a gradebook

What you were awarded, and on what date

Namecheap

Hosts the site and carries its mail. Can see everything stored here.

Google Fonts

Serves the typefaces. Sees your IP address when a page loads.

LearnPress

Runs courses, enrolment, assignments, the gradebook and certificates, on this server.

Fluent Forms

Runs registration and contact forms. Submissions stay on our own server.

Automattic

Runs Akismet, which screens form submissions for spam, so that content and the submitter’s IP are sent to them for the check.

Ameen Systems

Built and maintains the site over a cryptographically signed connection.

No analytics provider, no advertising network, no data broker. Student records are never sold and never shared with advertisers. Beyond that list, information leaves only where the law requires it or where someone’s safety genuinely demands it.

Artificial intelligence

• Your coursework is not sent to an AI service, and is not used as training material.
• No grade or certificate is decided by a machine. A person marks the work and a person stands behind the result.
• The site makes no AI calls. Nothing you submit here is passed to a model.
• The site was built with AI assisted tooling, and parts of this page were drafted with AI help and reviewed by a person.

How long records are kept

Account and profile

Until you close it, then removed

Enrolment, grades and certificates

While your account is open, because a certificate is worthless if the record behind it is gone

Assignment submissions

Three years after the course ends, then deleted

Enquiries that did not become enrolment

24 months, then deleted

Server and sign in logs

30 days, then discarded

Backups

Rotated on a 30 day cycle, so a deletion takes one cycle to become final

What you can ask for

A copy of your record, a correction to a grade or detail that is wrong, removal of a review you wrote, closure of your account, or deletion of what we hold. Where a record must be kept, we will say which duty requires it. Write to privacy@ferrandeducation.com. We reply within thirty days and there is no charge.

If a student is a minor, a parent or guardian may make any of those requests on their behalf, and we will confirm the relationship before releasing anything.

Changes

When practice changes, this page changes and the date at the top changes with it. Anything that materially affects enrolled students is told to them directly.
